Cheap Trick gets a Postmodern Jukebox makeover, and the results are stunning

After an interminably long wait, the 1970s rock band Cheap Trick finally was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016, as its iconic teenage-friendly anthems like Surrender and Dream Police finally found a permanent home in the Cleveland museum.

But if you want to reimagine Cheap Trick—which is still pounding the arena and amphitheater circuits and is opening for Foreigner this summer—as a vintage blues outfit, this soulful version of Postmodern Jukebox has the video for you. Its a cover of Cheap Tricks 1978 hit, I Want You To Want Me, and it has us thinking that perhaps PMJ vocalist Sarah Niemetz should have been the one to sing it this way for the past 40 years.
